This online search tool will allow you to research Guam laws.
1. Enter words or phrases into the search box. Tips for searching:
- Use any of the words to find documents with any of the search words.
- Use the exact phrase to find documents with the specific search phrase.
- Use all of the words to find documents to find documents with all of the search words.
- Use quotation marks to find specific phrases (“aggravated assault”)
- Use + directly in front of any word or phrase to require it (“income tax” +rebate)
- Use - directly in front of any word or phrase to exclude it (“criminal mischief -fire)
- Use Boolean to find groups of words or phrases
- Use quotation marks to find specific phrases (“aggravated assault”)
- Use AND to find all phrases (probation AND “community service”)
- Use OR to find either phrase (homicide OR murder)
- Please put a “w” in front of the slash, so it will look like this:
Use w/# (w slash and a number) to require search terms to occur within a specific number of words (community w/5 property)
2. Select the type of law you will want to search. Currently, you can search Guam’s statutory code, the Guam Code Annotated, and opinions of the Supreme Court of Guam.
The website will be continually updated, and will soon allow searches of other sources of Guam law including: Legislative Session Laws (public laws); Executive Orders; Attorney General Opinions; Guam Administrative Rules and Regulations.
3. Click on Search. Your documents will be listed below.
